• A big congratulations goes out to the Woodstock High Dragon Boat team, the River Runners,
who competed in their first ever competition this past weekend in St. Andrew’s. There were
hundreds of people who gathered at Katy’s Cove. The atmosphere was festive and our crew
members courageously faced off against others in 3 different races. Our times improved all
throughout the day and we finished strong. To all dragon boat members, even those who didn’t
compete this weekend, we will be taking a hiatus for now and will resume practices in the spring
at which time new members will be welcomed also. In the meantime, please keep an eye on our
Teams site for updates. Shout outs to dragon drummer Mr. McEwing and Madame Kee who
helped out this weekend. Paddles up!
  • Choir, band, and musical members please check Teams each morning for announcements, as
most announcements will be made through Teams from this point onward. Choir and band
members who have not yet provided parent contact information need to do so by noon today.
  • Members of Mr. Davidson’s homeroom – please check your Teams page by the end of the day
    today.
  • Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honors
the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their
families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing
impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
  • WHS staff and students are invited to wear orange on Friday, September 29th to recognize the
stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over
    generations.
  • The test room will now be in room A107, just down the hall from our current location.
  • Teachers please place your recycling bins outside your room at this time.
